Hip Osteoarthritis

Hip osteoarthritis develops when the protective cartilage covering the femoral head and acetabulum deteriorates. Symptoms tend to worsen when weight is placed on the affected leg. Limited range of motion is common, particularly in internal rotation and hip flexion. Recent research has shown that joint mobilization and stretching techniques can provide substantial relief from pain.
